OUR MISSION SPECIALTY SWEETS by Molly is a home based Vegan bakery where yummy treats are always on the menu. We take special care to ensure that the best quality ingredients are used in every product. Organic unbleached flours and sugars are purchased locally. All other ingredients are organic when available and will be listed as such. We NEVER use hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated oils or high fructose corn syrup. We also avoid artificial colors and other unnecessary ingredients. We are proud to provide tasty vegan treats made with quality ingredients. We are certain your taste buds will be delighted. |

SPECIALTY SWEETS by Molly Molly Aubuchon is Owner/Operator of SPECIALTY SWEETS by Molly, a licensed Home Bakery serving vegan sweets and treats. Molly started running her own business in 2006 as an In Home Childcare Provider in Kent. She started her business to earn a living and stay home with her two small children, Emma now 7 and Samuel now 5 years old. Before children she graduated from Kent State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a focus in Finance and a Minor in Craft. She worked as a Branch Office Administrator for Edward Jones until Emma was born and Molly decided to stay home.
Molly’s interest in vegetarian cuisine began in the very beginning. Her parents David and Linda Aubuchon raised all three of their children vegetarian from birth. About ten years ago Molly decided to take the plunge into the Vegan diet and eliminate dairy and eggs from her diet. She began to feel the importance of food and how it affects our bodies. Determined to satisfy her nagging sweet tooth she spent time in her kitchen experimenting with vegan sweets trying to imitate a healthier substitute to her favorites of the past. She would share her creations with family and friends who eventually encouraged her to try to market them. After winning Second Place last year at the Vegan Iron Chef she decided to launch Specialty Sweets by Molly. Currently SPECIALTY SWEETS by Molly makes vegan, raw and gluten free items for sale at the Kent Haymaker’s Market in downtown Kent (May-October), Ms Julie’s Kitchen at 1809 S Main St in Akron and for special events or individuals by contacting directly. There is always special attention to use ingredients that help promote a healthy lifestyle yet yield a satisfying sweetness in every product.
